  Alan first started dancing Latin and Ballroom in the mid 1970s. He attended Billy Martin's Dance School in Liverpool for 15 years and achieved all the medals on offer with distinction. That was where he was trained to teach dance through the Allied Dancing School. During this time Alan and his ex partner ran their own Rock 'n' Roll and Jive classes.
Alan then moved to London to work in the Health and Social Care field and so the dancing was put on hold for many years while his family grew. During this time Alan gained a Further and Adult Teaching Certificate.
It was the lure of the sensual Salsa that drew Alan back to dancing about 5 years ago. Alan started dancing Salsa at the 'Casa' club in Liverpool before moving to the Wirral at the beginning of 2005. It was then that he first met Jose and Suzanne at the Terraz in West Kirby and was once again hooked by dancing.
Alan has a very relaxed style and likes dancing to be both fun and sexy. During the day Alan works as a Life Coach and Hypnotherapist, so if he catches you looking at your feet while dancing and tells you to look into his eyes instead 'Just watch out'. You will be under his spell before you know it.
Alan has taught Salsa for several terms for Liverpool City Council and Liverpool University. He has helped Jose out teaching Beginners on several occasions and has also filled in at Alvaston Hall in Nantwich. He now runs his own classes for Beginners and Improvers in the the following places.
